The project explores the notion of subterranean living an alternative way of inhabiting space, one defined by
protection, continuity, and climatic stability beneath the surface.
Conceived as an experimental model of buried housing, the Splash Capsule investigates how underground architecture can respond to extreme environmental conditions. The proposal positions the ground as a natural thermal buffer, treating the buried condition not as a limitation bus as an opportunity to rethink domesticity in relation to geology, topography, and environmental resilience.
The project proposes a new mode of living below ground level, where inhabitants are protected from severe climates and external environmental pressures. The Splash Capsule, redefines subterranean living as a viable, sustainable, and emotionally engaging form of habitation.
